I believe in a Better Way. . .
Through my experience working with families and individuals, I have concluded that everyone deserves to have a better way of resolving their disputes and issues.
I provide responsive and knowledgeable support during your difficult family times. I have 23 years of experience working within the Human Services System. I have worked within Education, Children’s Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, Child Welfare and the Court system.
For those of you who like to know credentials,
here they are:
I have a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University. I’m a Certified Coach Practitioner and an Associate Member of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation.
I’ve made a career of helping those in need. I believe strongly in the strength of families. I believe that families are their own best experts. I believe that there is no such thing as a “broken family” or a “broken home”. Families are families; they just take different shapes.
"I went through a nasty divorce which was not nice for us adults or the children. I spent $30,000 on lawyer's fees, had many meetings with my lawyers, attended a session in chambers, attended a discovery session and finally finished with a trial. it took 7 years after the whole ordeal for my ex husband and I to really speak.
It would have been much easier on the children and ourselves if we were able to do mediation. I know the mediation would have cost both of us much less and been a lot less stressful. I feel it would have made it much better emotionally for all of us especially the children and we would have got over the whole situation much quicker."
